About Us
For over 25 years Graystone Insurance Agency has held the motto: “Always do what’s best for our clients.” We focus on putting together a first rate benefits package for large and small companies to help them attract and retain quality employees. We provide state of the art enrollment, and employee communication programs to make the process for the employees, as well and the company, quick, simple and effective. We shop the market to be sure we are bringing the best options at the best pricing possible to make both employee and employer benefit dollars go farther. We have clients with as little as 5 employees to over 1,000 and are appointed with all major carriers in the benefits space. We offer self-funded, level funded and fully insured options and tailor benefit packages to fit the budget and needs of a wide variety of clients in many industries.

Mary Hendrickson
Managing Partner
Mary Hendrickson has a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth and a Master's degree in Sociology/Family Therapy from the University of North Texas in Denton. Mary became a certified Mediator through the National Association of Dispute Resolution in 1998, and received her Group 1 Life and Health Agent license in 2003.
In 1998, Mary joined USpersonnel, a leading provider of Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) solutions. While working at USpersonnel, Mary served as an Officer and Vice President of Human Resource Services. Mary's responsibilities included the oversight of Human Resources, Benefits, Customer Service and Payroll for 17,000 employees located in to 42 states.
In 2005, Mary founded M-core Consulting Group, LLC, a Human Resource Consulting firm. In January of 2006, M-core Consulting Group, LLC merged with Ward Marketing. In December 2010, Mary purchased a controlling interest, so that Mr. Ward could spend more time fishing. The business was then renamed Graystone Insurance Agency, LLC.
Mary has been very active in a number of different ministries through her church, served with the Junior League of Arlington, and until recently was on the Board of Directors for Cardiovascular Home Health Care. In 2013 Mary began a new journey as a Foster Parent. In December 2014, Mary was blessed by the finalization of the adoption of her son, Andrew. In 2018, Mary was blessed again with the adoption of her son, Alex. She resides in Pantego with her family, and their two dogs.
Joe Ward
Partner
Joe Ward is a partner with Graystone Insurance Agency. He is a licensed Life and Health Agent. Joe has a Masters' Degree and over 25 years of experience in the insurance business. He been certified by NAHU as a professional consultant on the Affordable Care Act.
Joe specializes in Group Life and Health products for businesses as well as health insurance for individuals. His works with clients ranging in size from small mom and pop shops to corporations of over 9,000 employees. Joe also has extensive experience in procuring benefit plans for employee leasing companies and their clients.
Joe and his wife Rebecca have 4 grown children. They reside in Tennessee, and spend a great deal of time in Texas. He is an avid fisherman, baseball player and an active in youth ministry.
DeLisa Speed
Group & Medical Insurance
DeLisa Speed attended Eastfield Junior College and Christ For The Nation in Dallas, TX. She received her Life, Accident, Health License along with her Property and Casualty License in 2001.
From 2000-2018 DeLisa worked in Sales for the PEO industry (Professional Employment Organization) selling to business owners the concept of outsourcing Human Resources, record keeping, workers’ compensation, risk management, employee benefits and payroll administration. During such time she earned the Top Gun Award for Outstanding Performance & Attitude, Outstanding Salesmanship Award and was in the Quarterly Quota Club.
In 2018, DeLisa joined Graystone Insurance Agency, selling group medical and ancillary products to business owners.
DeLisa has worked as a volunteer for Traffick911 with a mission to free youth from sex trafficking since 2012. She has served victims of child sex trafficking through many volunteer awareness projects and fund raisers, in the Dallas Juvenile system and the last three years as a Voice & Choice Advocate mentoring young girls. She lives in Mesquite with her husband of 43 years and their dog Maggie.
